Christmas Card Club - "Trees"

Good morning all.

Shaz has asked to see "Trees" (indoor or out) over at the Christmas Card Club this week.

A very quick batch of four as I have my Mum staying for the weekend. Stamps are Penny Black and were a magazine freebie. Die from Spellbinders.

Christmas Card Club - "Sentiment as Focus"

Good morning all.

It was my turn to set the theme over at the Christmas Card Club this week and I've asked the ladies for "Sentiment as Focus".

It was my intention to make several cards this week but with a busy month of birthdays time ran away with me. This uses dies from Crafters Companion and Spellbinders and the sentiment in from Stamping All Day.

Please excuse the awful photograph but I had to take it at night!

Christmas Card Club - "Christmas Wreaths"

Good afternoon all.

I'm running late today....another fortnight gone so it must be time for the Christmas Card Club to share our wares. The lovely Rita has set us the theme of "Christmas Wreaths".
I used my favourite wreath stamp last year to make a batch of last minute cards so couldn't use it this time. I did however find another magazine freebie to make this card with.

All the stamps were in the freebie, stamped on white card and simply matted. Dies are from Lawn Fawn and Spellbinders. I did add some stickles to the berries after taking this photo.

Christmas Card Club - "Poinsettia or Christmas Greenery"

Good morning all.

It's Christmas Card Club time once more and this week Mary has asked us to show her our "Poinsettias or Christmas Greenery". I managed a quick card last night as it's been a busy week birthday card wise with my Mum 85 and a great niece one today and my son in law later in the week!

Using a cute stamp from Wild Rose Studio coloured with promarkers...it's so long since I coloured anything I've forgotten how! Dies are from Wplus9.

Christmas Card Club - "Animals at Christmas"

Good morning all.

Wishing you all a Happy Easter and hoping the weather isn't dampening the holiday weekend too much for you. The light evenings this last week have been lovely and it's certainly starting to feel more like spring, especially in the garden.

"Animals at Christmas" is the theme set by the lovely Kate this week over at our little Christmas Card Club.

I managed to make a quick couple of simple ones last night. Spent the week getting the house cleaned thinking we were going to have visitors today but found they'd gone home early yesterday due to the weather!

Card and topper from The Works, die from WPlus9.

Card and decoupage topper from The Works, tag die from Die-namics, tree and bow from my stash.

Christmas Card Club - "Christmas Flowers"

Good morning all.

"Christmas Flowers" has been set as the theme for our little Christmas Card Club this week by the lovely Rachel. One quick decoupage card from me this time as I have my Mum staying and didn't get myself organised before she came.

Decoupage from Joanna Sheen which has been in my stash for many a year! Dies from Wplus9 and Spellbinders.

Christmas Card Club - "Robins"

Good morning all.

Hope everyone is warm and dry in this wintery weather. We had about a foot of snow but it drifted badly off the field above us and there were 6/7 foot snow drifts filling about half a mile of road down into town. We were cut off for the best part of two days...which wouldn't have mattered except I badly needed a prescription picked up so eldest had to battle his way in on foot, about a four mile round trip!

Mrs A set this weeks theme over at the Christmas Card Club and she'd like to see a "a Robin or more". We've had a few of them in the garden and I have a few photos I intend to use for family cards but haven't got around to getting them done yet. So here are half a dozen little cards to add to my stash.

Stamp is from a magazine freebie, coloured with promarkers. Dies are from Spellbinders. A very simple design which was easy to batch make.

Christmas Card Club - "Reindeer and/or Friends"

Good morning all.

Zoe has set the theme for this weeks Christmas Card Club and she's asked to see "Reindeers and/or Friends". After my photography workshop was cancelled two weeks ago I spent some time in the craft room getting ahead of myself! Here's four I made for this challenge.

Stamps from Creative Expressions, a very simple OLC.

The embossing folder and stamps were a magazine freebie last year which I didn't get around to using...diecut using a Spellbinders die.

For these two I used a stamp from Penny Black and the die is from Spellbinders, finished with a little stickles.

As always if you'd like to see what the other girls made you'll find their links in my sidebar.

Christmas Card Club - "Angels or Fairies"

Good morning all.

Margaret has set us the theme of "Angels or Fairies" this week at the Christmas Card Club. Four very quick cards from me...I'm doing a couple of photography workshops this weekend and having been ill last weekend these are very last minute on Friday evening!

Update...workshop was postponed due to rain, thick cloud and generally lousy weather, hopefully today is going to turn out better.

Using stamps from La Blanche...the first design is one layer.

This second design uses a die from Wplus9, stamp is also from La Blanche. I do love these stamps, although they're quite large they always stamp perfectly.

Christmas Card Club - "Christmas Baking"

Good morning all.

The lovely Maureen set the theme of "Christmas Baking" this week at our little Christmas Card Club. I didn't have much stash to use for this challenge but managed to find a Lawn Fawn set which I hadn't yet opened!

Stamps and dies all from Lawn Fawn except the large mat which is from Spellbinders.

Christmas Card Club - "Gnomes, Pixies or Elves"

Good morning all and a Happy New Year.

Can't believe how long it is since my last post...my computer went haywire with a Windows update and took forever to make it usable again...by which time I was way behind with all my Christmas preparations! However Santa did bring a new Surface Pro so I now have back up.

Our first challenge of the year at the Christmas Card club has been set by the lovely Margaret and she's asked to see "Gnomes, Pixies or Elves". This year we have decided that Anything Goes is acceptable if you don't have anything suitable to use for the challenge theme, so this week I have gone with that.

A dozen very simple cards...one layer, no insert. I found these little 33/4" cards when I was making last minute cards in December so I thought I'd use some more of them up.
Snowman and snowflake stamps are from Anita, sentiment is from Woodware and I've used one from Clearly Besotted inside.

Having somewhat lost my mojo of late I have to say I quite enjoyed the forage into the craftroom to make these. I do need to have a good sort out though!

Christmas Card Club - "Sentiment as Focus"

Good morning all.

Less than two months until the big day...must get my skates on and get some more cards made! Sylvie has challenged us to use the "Sentiment as Focus" this week at the Christmas Card Club, here is my effort!

I've gone White on White - better picture taken during daylight hours.

Dies are from Spellbinders, WPlus9 and STAMPlorations; embossing folder from Cuttlebug.

Christmas Card Club - "Non Traditional Colours"

Good morning all. I can't believe how quick the nights have come in this year and will be glad when the clocks change at the end of the month!

Finally got my computer up and running again so touch wood it stays that way! I've also started a new blog for photography....I've recently started a year long online course to learn how to use the controls on my camera (amongst other things), so this will chart my progress and I'll also be posting my holiday photographs too. My first post goes live this morning if you'd care to take a look.

I'm playing catch up at the Christmas Card Club again...sorry ladies and promise I'll get round you all in the next day or so to leave my comments,

Two weeks ago Val (aka Mrs A) asked us to "Make it Round", here is my card.

Don't know why navy always looks black in a photo! Using a new die from Crafters Companion, a nesties die from Spellbinders and a sentiment from Clearly Besotted. Not sure about these new dies from CC, they're a bit fiddly to use and line up although they do make nice cards.

This week it was my turn to set the theme and I asked for "Non Traditional Colours".

Kraft and white is one of my favourite non traditional colour combos. Using dies from Wplus9 and Spellbinders and a Typografia Christmas stamp from STAMPlorations...a quick and easy card ready for posting! Think I need a new pot of  white EP...mine is looking a bit yellow!

TYPOGRAFIA Motivate Blog Hop

Good afternoon all.

I'm Guest Designing over at STAMPlorations today, we have a blog hop going on and you won't want to miss it. You'll find all the details in this post.

Using the new TYPOGRAFIA Motivate stamps (you're going to love these!) here is my inspiration.

Using Persistence, I thought this stamp was the perfect addition to this canvas I created with a photo taken last year on our trip to New Zealand. I've had the kit to create the canvas for some time and now I know how easy it is I must do some more....although note to self - heat embossing on plastic canvas was not the best idea I've ever had!

My second project uses What You Get, this stamp reminded me of the WW11 posters Your Country Needs You so I wanted to create something simple and to the point. Using black card, gold mirri card and gold embossing and a few dies and I was happy with the result. This may be used for a card topper, or to decorate a notebook but would also make a good fridge magnet.

My final project is a small canvas which I coloured with gelatos to try to resemble a sunrise, then added features from the Clouds stencil with textured paste. The saying was stamped onto tissue and heat embossed then attached with medium gel.

Commenting closes on Monday, October 16.

Prize: One commenter will win her choice of 3 Typografia Motivate stamps. The winner will be randomly drawn from all comments left on the STAMP blog and participating designers' blogs.

Winner will be announced on Tuesday, October 17.

If you love STAMPlorations products or if you'd like to try them for the first time I have a discount code to share with you - STAMPGIRLCAROLD

This gives you a 20% discount (in addition to the 5% discount already offered on these stamps) on all stamps, stencils and dies...both regular and sale priced items. Please note this code can't be combined with any other code. It is valid for multiple uses whilst I'm a STAMPlorations Girl.

Christmas Card Club - "Penguins and Sparkle"

Good morning all.

Final day of our trip around the North Coast 500 here in Scotland....the washing machine will be taking a hammering later!

Kate has picked the theme this week over at the Christmas Card Club and she's asked to see penguins and sparkle.....my favourites!

A new stamp and die set from Lawn Fawn, coloured with promarkers. The penguins have been die cut several times to add dimension. I used stickles on the hats and lamp to add sparkle.

Christmas Card Club - "Magical and Mystical"

Good morning all.
Huge apologies for not being around, I'll catch up with you all soon hopefully.

Wedding is all over...it went really well and we had a lovely day. Hubby and I are off this week to drive the North Coast 500,looking forward to some time away from home after all the wedding prep and building works of the last few months.

I'm late, I'm late.....

This should have been posted yesterday (and two weeks ago) but my computer packed in straight after the wedding and isn't fixed yet. What a struggle to use DD's laptop which doesn't take a memory card to upload photos from my camera!

I've got two cards to share today... Rachel set us the theme of  "Magical and Mystical" for our latest challenge. I struggled a little with this as my mojo has gone astray and I was short on time to get inky...this is what I came up with.

Combining old with new....backing card from Kanban and new dies from Crafter's Companion and a sentiment from Penny Black.

Two weeks ago Christine set us the theme of "The True Meaning of Christmas", I'm playing catch up so here is my card.

Same card from Kanban used with a stencil from STAMPlorations and a sentiment from Clearly Besotted.

Christmas Card Club - "Carol Singers"

Good morning all.

I was at a 60th birthday party last night and may feel a little delicate this morning...so if you could go quietly it would be appreciated :)

Only one week to go to the wedding eek!! I think everything is under control...just wish we could order in the weather to suit!

Margaret has asked for "Carol Singers" this time at our Christmas Card Club, I've made a couple to try and bolster my numbers a little!

Using one of my favourite stamps from Penny Black coloured with promarkers. Sentiment die also from PB; sentiment stamp from HLS. Mat dies from Lawn Fawn and Spellbinders.

I did remember to add stickles to the hats after I'd taken the photos!

If you'd like to see what the other girls have made you'll find their links in my sidebar.
