Birthday Girl

Good morning all.

Summer arrived back yesterday thank goodness after we had everything thrown at us on Tuesday!

Sharing a birthday card for the little girl next door who is four today.

Square nesties and number dies from Spellbinders. Dinosaur stamps, dies and sentiment from Clearly Besotted. Clouds and sun dies from Wplus9. Grass and hills dies from Lawn Fawn. Sky and grass were inked with DI. I inked some waste card with various greens before stamping and die cutting the dinosaurs then added some detail with promarkers and a white gel pen. Googly eyes are a recent purchase from Pretty Pink Posh - I love these. I should have used pinks and purples to ink up the dinosaurs...maybe next time!
The Clearly Besotted and Wplus 9 goodies are all being aired for the first time.

Happy Birthday to you!

Good morning all.

Another lovely day yesterday weatherwise, a little pampering session in the afternoon for me...then fish and chips for tea (well I couldn't spoil my nails!) all followed by a lazy evening...life is good!

A simple male birthday card to share today.

Happy die is from Whimsy stamps, suare dies from Spellbinders, birthday sentiment from Clearly Besotted and to you from Winnie and Walter. I die cut the happy from the black layer, cut the card through the middle of the die cut and trimmed a small amount from one piece. Happy die was cut several times in white and inlaid into the black layer and stacked up for dimension. Sentiments were stamped with versamark and heat embossed with white detail EP. Sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

Christmas Card Club "Anything Goes"

Good morning all.

Happy Mother's Day to you all. I've got to pop down home to see my Mum then it will be a quiet day hopefully with a little time to craft...that's assuming Mr Mojo wants to come out to play!

A fortnight has passed and it's time once again for our little Christmas Card Club challenge.  Sylvie picked the theme this time and she gave us carte blanche this time with "Anything Goes".

Stamp is a Penny Johnson from Stampavie coloured with promarkers and highlighted with stickles before being die cut with a Starlight Circle die from Tattered Lace, then inlaid into a red frame cut with the same die.  Stitched die is from Spellbinders. Sentiment die is from Crafty Impressions. Sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.
I was obviously having a senior moment the day I made this as I used ordinary white cardstock for the image hence the bleeding inks!!

You'll find a list of the girls in my side bar if you'd like to pop around and see what they've made for this challenge.

Challenges entered:
CHNC Extra - anything Christmas goes
Holly Jolly Christmas - dies and punches
CRAFT - Christmas
Crimbo Crackers - no printed papers
CHNC - use some black
Craft for the Craic - bingo (image, more than 2 layers, die cut)
Crafting by Designs - get ready for Christmas

Sending Big Hugs

Good morning all.

A much needed visit to the beautician yesterday for some waxing and polishing - my beautician has been travelling in Thailand, Laos and Vietnam for 5 weeks so it's been a while!!

After seeing the lovely Becca's stencilled background here I had to give the technique a try. Here is the result:

I inked the die cut piece with DI inks in mustard seed, spiced marmalade and picked raspberry then using a stencil from Splodgeaway I inked over with black soot. Stitched dies are from Spellbinders. Stamp is from Indigo Blu and was a magazine freebie, stamped with black versafine then overstamped with a big and juicy sunset ink pad. Sending die is from Simon says Stamp cut once from waste card and once from the background and layered up. Sentiment is from STAMPlorations. Sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

Challenges entered:
CASology - tropical

Pink and Grey

Good morning all.

We had a bright and beautiful one yesterday again. Lots of little jobs done and a casserole in the oven then I had some time to craft.

Another Anniversary card to share today. The ladies over at Less is More are celebrating their 4th Anniversary...can you believe it? Congratulations to you all, hope you have many more :)
The challenge is a colour one of pink and grey.

Pink base card matted with a grey layer on foam tape then a white. Background stamp is from Unity Stamps, stamped with tattered rose DI. Die is from Memory Box.....cut twice, once with pink card and once with a double layer of grey card so I ended with a solid die cut to piece the other two back onto. This made the die very sturdy and gave it some dimension on the card without using foam pads.
At this point I realised how lacking I was in Anniversary stamps/dies...with love was a magazine freebie and Happy Anniversary is from a decoupage stamp set from Imagination Crafts. A few sequins from Pretty Pink Posh were added to finish off.

Challenges entered:
Less is More - pink and grey
Stamplorations - stamps and hearts
Simon says Stamp - pink and red
