Crafting when we Can #26 "123 Recipe"

It's time for a new challenge at CWWC and this time we have a 123 Recipe - 1 large image, 2 sentiments and 3 colours. We're being sponsored by Crafty Ribbons.

I've made a gift bag for Christmas this time. The decoupage image is a recent win from Fred she Said and the papers were from a candy win. Dies are from Spellbinders and punch from Martha Stewart. Ribbon is from my stash and I've used lots of glamour dust to give it some sparkle. My three colours are red, blue and green.

Crafting for all Seasons #11 Fall Flowers/Pumpkins

It was lovely to see all your sunset/fall colours last time and we're sticking with a Fall theme this time too. Over at CFAS we'd like to see Fall Flowers and/or Pumpkins on your projects. We're being sponsored by Fred She Said and the DT got to chose an image to work with - I chose Pumpkin Bouquet:

This was a fabulous image to work with, I've coloured it with promarkers then cut it with a scalloped nestie circle and used some tea dye DI and peach ink to colour the background whilst it was still in the die. I've layered onto a larger purple scalloped circle. For the backing I've used grand nestie squares to cut out a layer in terracotta and one in peach which I've matted to the card base after tying a gingham ribbon around. Card is finished with Marianne Design corners, buttons, lilac flowers and a Prima butterfly.

Do pop over to the challenge blog to be inspired by my team mates creations, I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Fall Candle

Decided to have a play - I've been meaning to try stamping on candles for a while but after using this Fred she Said image on a DT card I decided to try using a digi. After ironing some tissue paper (well the iron has to be useful for something!) I attached it to an A4 sheet of paper with low tack tape, re-sized the digi to fit the candle and printed it off then coloured it with promarkers.

The image was then attached to an old unused candle which I found in a cupboard then I've decorated the bottom of the candle with lavender and gold pearlised papers which I've edged with a Martha Stewart punch, a lavender ribbon, orange bow, WOC rose and some leaves.
I was very surprised at how easy this was so I'm off to find more candles!

My tip this week is to use a carrier sheet to enable you to print direct onto tissue paper thus allowing you to use any of the fabulous digis available for decorating candles.
