Christmas Card Club - Critters

Good morning all, hope you're enjoying your weekend.
Gosh where did the last two weeks go? It was Pinky's turn to choose the theme this time over at the Christmas Card Club and she's asked for critters, big or small.

The image is from Whoopsi Daisy sheet 265 and I've coloured it with promarkers and used glamour dust on the fur trim. Papers are freebies from a magazine. Glittery lace is from Costco, flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, tartan bow, gems and peel off sentiment from my stash.
Just to prove I'm keeping to my resolutions, the inside is decorated to match.

If you'd like to join our little club making Christmas cards once a fortnight just for fun, please contact one of us (list in sidebar). Do check out what the other girls have made for the challenge too.

Happy Halloween

Getting quite into the home décor makes, here's another one for Halloween:

Image and star BP are from Joanna Sheen's Card Maker's Year CD, BP on reverse is from Bearly Mine and image is a freebie from Stamper's Best. Used grand nestie scalloped squares for the shape and edged the black card with copper pen. Embellished with copper ribbon with stars, overlaid with black eyelet lace (only had white so I coloured it with promarkers) which had orange ribbon threaded through it; a WOC rose which I've distressed with black ink. The corners of the image have been decorated with stars from the ribbon and small black pearls.

Crafting When We Can #3 Bingo

Not so many entries for our sketch and fairytale theme but thanks to those of you entered. Our next challenge at CWWC is Bingo - just choose any line (horizontal, vertical or diagonal), four corners or a full house and let us know which you chose. We are being sponsored by Sew Many Cards  this time and the DT were given images to use. I chose Morty Christmas Sleigh:

This is our Bingo card:

I chose Christmas, distressing and anything but a card to make a Christmas decoration. Morty is coloured with promarkers then cut out and mounted 3d. The decoration is made using Grand oval scalloped nesties. I've cut the largest one twice in gold mirri card and stuck them together to form the back. The next size down was cut out of green card and this was distressed with gold ink around the edges before being mounted onto the gold mirri. The backing paper is tissue paper from Costco which I've crumpled then glued to a plain oval shape, the edges and crumples were all distressed with gold.
The gorgeous ribbon is from Costco. I've finished off with poinsettias (from WOC), ivy leaves (from Joanna Sheen), various flower and leaf embellishments from Crafty Bitz, some holly flourishes from Spellbinders and some glitter to highlight.

Do pop over to the challenge blog to see the other DT makes, I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Fall Candle

Decided to have a play - I've been meaning to try stamping on candles for a while but after using this Fred she Said image on a DT card I decided to try using a digi. After ironing some tissue paper (well the iron has to be useful for something!) I attached it to an A4 sheet of paper with low tack tape, re-sized the digi to fit the candle and printed it off then coloured it with promarkers.

The image was then attached to an old unused candle which I found in a cupboard then I've decorated the bottom of the candle with lavender and gold pearlised papers which I've edged with a Martha Stewart punch, a lavender ribbon, orange bow, WOC rose and some leaves.
I was very surprised at how easy this was so I'm off to find more candles!

My tip this week is to use a carrier sheet to enable you to print direct onto tissue paper thus allowing you to use any of the fabulous digis available for decorating candles.
