Christmas Card Club - "Jingle Bells"

Good morning all.

What a positively miserable weekend we're having, hopefully it's to get better during the week. There was an airshow near us yesterday and we had the Red Arrows (among others) flying over the house...we could hear them but couldn't see a thing!

Another fortnight been and gone...they're coming in far too quick for my liking! Margaret has given us a theme of  "Jingle Bells" at the Christmas Card Club this time. I've managed two cards!

Images are from Crafty Impressions, sentiments from Happy Little Stampers....stamped onto kraft card with Versamark and heat embossed with white EP then partly coloured with promarkers. I've added glossy accents to the red bits on both cards. Dies are from Lawn Fawn and Spellbinders.

If you'd like to see what the other girls have made you'll find their links on my sidebar.

HLS Christmas June Challenge "Twine"

Good evening all.

A day spent cleaning and dressing rooms at the new house, thought I'd get the utility finished then found out I'd ordered two blinds for the same window instead of one for each....luckily the spare will fit another window as they were made to measure!!

Sadly my last post for HLS Christmas Challenge, life is getting in the way of crafting at the moment so I'm taking a step back. Many thanks to Kylie for having me this past year. Our challenge this month is to use "Twine" somewhere on your creation.

The joys of having most of my crafting stash in the other house means I'm very limited to what I can use to craft at the moment...it took me nearly two weeks to remember to hunt out some twine!
Stamp from Crafty Impressions, coloured with Whisper pens and a gold Gel pen...all found lurking in a pencil case! Dies from Spellbinders and Lawn Fawn. Sentiment from HLS.

Do hope you can join us this month and get ahead for the silly season. Pop over to the challenge blog to see how my teamies interpreted the theme.

HLS Christmas Challenge January "Jingle"

Good evening all.

Sorry for being a bad blogger but packing and leaving the house in order is taking priority at the moment. I have lots of posts scheduled whilst I'm away and I'll try to pop in from time to time and maybe show you some of the sights of New Zealand we're visiting. I'm trying to fit some commenting in when I can this week to catch up with you all before I leave on Saturday.

Another month has passed and it's time for the first Christmas challenge of the year at Happy Little Stampers. We do hope you'll join us getting those pesky Christmas makes out of the way early this year. The theme this month is:

Christmas Card Club "Anything Goes"

Good morning all.

Happy Mother's Day to you all. I've got to pop down home to see my Mum then it will be a quiet day hopefully with a little time to craft...that's assuming Mr Mojo wants to come out to play!

A fortnight has passed and it's time once again for our little Christmas Card Club challenge.  Sylvie picked the theme this time and she gave us carte blanche this time with "Anything Goes".

Stamp is a Penny Johnson from Stampavie coloured with promarkers and highlighted with stickles before being die cut with a Starlight Circle die from Tattered Lace, then inlaid into a red frame cut with the same die.  Stitched die is from Spellbinders. Sentiment die is from Crafty Impressions. Sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.
I was obviously having a senior moment the day I made this as I used ordinary white cardstock for the image hence the bleeding inks!!

You'll find a list of the girls in my side bar if you'd like to pop around and see what they've made for this challenge.

Challenges entered:
CHNC Extra - anything Christmas goes
Holly Jolly Christmas - dies and punches
CRAFT - Christmas

World Traveler

Good morning all.

It was a lovely springlike day here yesterday after all the frost we've been having. I spent the afternoon at a charity event one of my neighbours was hosting...the children were all enjoying being outdoors. I bought some books to fold and won a nice raffle prize bundle too...including an RNLI note pad which is ripe for transforming!

Sharing a card today which I made for eldest after he passed his motorbike test in preparation for his trip around Iceland later this year.

Stamps from Crafty Impressions Explore set apart from "congratulations" which is from Joanna Sheen. Paper is from Carte Bella. Bike has been stamped onto kraft card and fussy cut then mounted with foam pads.

Christmas Card Club " Non Traditional Colours"

Good morning all.
I'm hoping it's good for me too after the hen party last night...but I'll probably still be in bed when this goes live!!

It's our final challenge at our little Christmas Card club and Margaret has set us the theme of "Non Traditional Colours".

Made in the same vein as my two winter wonderland cards earlier in the week, this is my final  special card for this year....and if something could go wrong, smudge or go askew it did!!
Sleigh scene is half a Crafty Impressions stamp, heat embossed with white detail EP. Card is then inked with various distress inks. Purple trees are a Penny black magazine freebie stamped in dusty concord DI. House and trees die is from Memory Box and I've cut it up to fit the Lawn Fawn stitched border die. Sentiment from Clearly Besotted, snowman from Crafty Impressions and snowflake was another magazine freebie. Gem from my stash.

Winter Wonderland Mark 2

Good morning all.

Yesterday was a wasted journey...the property we were looking at had a house belonging to someone else in the middle of the land which went with it grrr. Never mind we're not in a hurry so I'm sure something right will come along eventually. I did manage to almost finish the Christmas shopping too so not altogether wasted.

Another Christmas card to share, hopefully I've only got one more to actually make. Very similar to the one I shared two days ago as I decided I really liked that one.

Scenic stamps from Crafty Impressions and sentiment from Clearly Besotted. Main image is heat embossed with white detail EP. Inking is done with some DI and a little bit of Memento around the outside to match the card. Stitched die is from Lawn Fawn, snowflake is from Memory Box and the scene dies are from the middle of a Spellbinder die.

Challenges entered:
Die Cuttin Divas - non traditional Christmas colours (no red/green)

Winter Wonderland

Good morning all.

We had a lovely day out on Sunday, it was a long day though. I broke even on the betting stakes and eldest came home quids in so he was a happy chappie. We were both a little under par yesterday but nothing a lie in didn't cure on my part.

Hubby's Christmas card to share today, unless I don't manage to get the rest of my specials made in time to deliver them!!

Snowscene stamp is from Crafty Impressions stamped in versamark and heat embossed with white detail EP.  I've used distressed ink to shade the sky and moon. Tree dies are from Clearly Besotted and I've used the matching stamps to overstamp the coloured card with versamark and heat embossed with white detail EP. Sentiment stamp is also from Clearly Besotted. Landscape dies are from Lawn Fawn.

Rudolph and his Shiny Nose

Good morning all.

A little progress was made yesterday and my card labels are all updated and printed. Still need a few more cards including about 4 specials...best get a move on then.

Sharing today the third card for the kids...at least they're now out of the way!

I keeping with the other two I've made I've just highlighted a little of the image and used glossy accents on the red. Image and sentiment are from Crafty Impressions and I've used promarkers to colour. Stitched rectangle die is from Spellbinders.
I think I probably should have coloured this one in, he looks a bit bare!!
All finished inside using a Penny Black stamp and Martha Stewart corner punch.
