Christmas Card Club - " Black and White plus one"

Good morning all.
It's been a busy weekend here...lots of washing and ironing, shopping and a bit of card making. We've finally managed to book a holiday and are off to Menorca in less than two weeks. Next weekend we're spending down at home as my sister is having a 50th birthday weekend so I had to start organising all the clothes this weekend to get ahead of myself! I've still got her card to make too and another five before we go away...need to shake a leg then...luckily hubby's was made earlier thank goodness.

I missed the Christmas Card Club challenge last Sunday which had been set by Karen, she chose "Black and White plus one" for her theme. Here is my card.

Sorry about the photos, they really don't do the card justice. The Heartfelt Creation stamp was a recent sale purchase and I've stamped in black and heat embossed with black magic EP which is really glittery IRL. I used the waste from a Spellbinder die as a mask to colour the Christmas tree shape with DI and added a clear gem to the top. Image is layered onto green card...which doesn't show very well.

Inside complete and another very flat card for posting.

You'll find a list of the girls on my sidebar if you'd like to pop over and see their creations.

Challenges entered:
CHNC Extra - anything Christmas goes
Completely Christmas - anything goes
Fab n Funky - Christmas
That Craft Place - anything goes

  1. Beautiful card Carol. I think the break will do you both a power of good and replace your energy levels too. May is also a busy month for me as well. Hugs Rita xxx

  2. Very elegant card Carol although I cannot really see the green on my monitor. It's amazing ow different they can look IRL. Great to make some flat cards which always help in postage costs, even though we crafters always want to add layers. Hope you are keeping well. Hugs Christine xx

  3. This is a very lovely card to fit the theme last week. A great way to use the waste from a die cut as a stencil. Love it.

  18. A Great CAS card! Love how you used the negative from the diecut to sponge on the tree; it adds interest without adding bulk. Thanks for playing with both CSAYL and CHNCC2.
