Crafty Ann's #60 Anything But a Card

It's time for another challenge at Crafty Ann's and the theme is "Anything but a Card".  I've choosen to do a couple of scrapbook pages of my daughter.

The first layout is of my daughter on her christening day, wearing the same dress I did! The shawl she is lying on was crocheted by me in my early twenties, long before I was married - it's a circular one in 3 ply wool. It took ages to do but was well worth the effort. The second layout is the only photo we have of Lora with my Dad as he died when she was four months old, it's not the best photo in the world but treasured none the less.

All the papers and elements (except the stitching) are from the new Pretty in Pink kit available from Crafty Ann's Digi Shop.  Just loving this kit. The layouts are done in My Memories Suite which is where I found the stitching. I used a scrapmat for the basic layouts which I found on the Bo Bunny Blog.

And here is the hybrid version of the first layout. I've mounted the layout onto white card,  silver mirri card then onto a white mat which has been punched with a lacy border from Martha Stewart. I've added some bows, pearls, gems and a swirl to finish.
