One for the bit box!!!

You decide lol!!!
This started as a "great idea" but I didn't think it worked so pulled it apart and changed the topper but I still don't like it - let me know what you think (honestly lol).
This is the original card which showed Custard eating the flowers from the lovely garden (Joanna Sheens Cottage Garden CD)
This is the second version:

I've used a PATP matt again for this card and the backing papers are from Papercraft 4 You. The bottom matting paper had the black border so I matted the other papers onto some black stardream from my bit box. Both stamps are from Sugar Nellie and have been coloured with promarkers. The card is finsihed with some buttons, a pearly bow tie, ribbon and I've highlighted the dotty paper with a Sakura gelly roll pen to add sparkle.
The challenges this card was made for are:
The Sugar Bowl - Sketch and buttons
Stamp Something - Recipe of flowers, buttons and sparkle
Creative Inspirations - Pets/Animals

Remember ladies I want you to be brutally honest with me!!

  2. I think you've used too much of the MS punch. Of course, this is just my opinion and I might be completely wrong but it draws my eyes to the punching and not to the image. I prefer the second card which is not quite so busy. Hazel x

  6. Carol my own rule of thumb if I use a PATP to make the card I tend not to use it again within the card unless I am using plain cardstock. This is only my way but hope you find it of some use. Card making is a personal thing and it is what you are happy with at the end of the day that counts. x

Thanks for taking part in the Sugar bowl challenge and happy crafting!!
