Christmas Card Club - "Poinsettia or Christmas Greenery"

Good morning all.

It's Christmas Card Club time once more and this week Mary has asked us to show her our "Poinsettias or Christmas Greenery". I managed a quick card last night as it's been a busy week birthday card wise with my Mum 85 and a great niece one today and my son in law later in the week!

Using a cute stamp from Wild Rose Studio coloured with promarkers...it's so long since I coloured anything I've forgotten how! Dies are from Wplus9.

If you'd like to see what the other girls have produced you'll find their links on my sidebar.

Christmas Card Club "Holly and Ivy"

Good morning all.

I went round all day yesterday thinking it was Sunday, so I guess today is a bonus! The weather forecast for today is appalling...we're off out shortly to take the kids to see the house we're buying so we should see it at it's worst! I think the rest of the day will be spent in the craft room.

Two weeks have fairly flown by  and it's Christmas Card Club time once again. Today Asha set us the theme of "Holly and Ivy".

Topper from Wild Rose Studio; paper from Papermania; ivy die from Joanna Sheen; snowflake, bow and button from my stash. Card and paper all came from my bit box.

Good morning all.

Yesterday seemed to be filled with chores but I'm ahead of the game now so time for crafting today.

Mid November and thanks to our little Christmas Card Club I'm not panicking over my cards! Valery  (aka Mrs A) asked us to "Feature a Postbox" this time.

Another one of my specials...image from Wild Rose Studio, papers from Papermania, sentiment from LOTV and dies all from Spellbinders. Finished with nailheads from my stash.

I've quite pleased with myself this year....I've managed to use up lots of backing papers which had been partying in a drawer for a year or two along with my topper collection...I might have to buy some new stuff for next Christmas says she who has enough Christmas stock to last a lifetime!!

Still battling away with our New Zealand itinerary, I think we're 3/4 of the way there...gosh it's hard going! We want to fit as much as possible in but don't want to spend the whole time on the road living out of a suitcase.

Sharing today the card I made for October's Card Chain Challenge which was sent to Jerrie in Wisconsin.

Christmas Card Club "Robins"

Good morning all.

A busy day on my blog today, this is the first of three posts...like buses none for ages then they all come along at once!!

Mark and I had a great time in Italy, lots of walking and talking...I need a rest now! Washing is under control, kitchen was gutted yesterday but I need to have a quick general clean round the rest of the house....and the cupboards are bare!! Yesterday morning was spent in Edinburgh with Lora at a University Open Day...it was so warm in the lecture theatres I kept nodding off!!

Two weeks have flown by again and Sylvie has set a theme of "Robins" for us Christmas Card Club gals.

Another special done and dusted...think that is my Mum and siblings all sorted now. Topper from Wild Rose Studios; dies from Spellbinders; papers from Papermania; sentiment from LOTV; border punch from Tonic. Bow, brad, gems and stickles from my stash.

There is a robin on there...holding the envelope, although I almost chopped him off!! Apologies Sylvie this was the only one I could find.

Rudolph Day

Good afternoon all.

Another lovely day today and just back from the hairdressers so had a relaxing morning. Doctor managed to get blood first time yesterday from my right arm so the nurse had to use my left arm to inject the dye for my scan...I'm a little bruised and battered today, oh to have some prominent veins somewhere!

Another month is nearly over so we've reached Rudolph Day...here is my offering which I managed to make last night.

I'm making a concerted effort at the minute to get some of my special Christmas cards done and dusted...this is only number three so still a few more to go!

Topper is from Wild Rose Studio, die cuts all from Spellbinders, papers and bow from Docrafts, sentiment from LOTV, border punch from Tonic and button and gems from my stash. I've used a similar layout to my other two specials so making a little dent in my stash of backing papers.

I was brave yesterday and updated to Windows 10...it downloaded no problems and so far I like what I see - once I'd worked out where all my files were stored that is!!

Another two weeks have flown past and it's time for our little Christmas Card club reveal. Lorraine set us the challenge of using lots of layers this time.

I finally managed to make a start on my special cards. Just a Note

Good morning all.

Domestic goddess duties dispensed with yesterday so today I hope to fit in some playtime with my Gelli Plate and some new stencils.

Sharing a quick make today which I managed last night.

Stencils and music stamp from STAMPlorations, sentiment from Wild Rose Studio and die from Spellbinders. Using clear matte textured paste I stencilled one of the butterflies from the Flutterby stencil onto the die cut. Once dry I masked off the edges and stamped the music from the Mini Mixed Media Backgrounds set and my sentiment using tan ink. I then used peacock feathers DI to ink around the butterfly. Gridlocked stencil was used to emboss the base card, topper was added with foam tape and I was done!

Challenges entered:

Crafting for all Seasons #103 "1-2-3 Recipe"

Good morning all.

It's time once again for a new challenge at CFAS and this time the theme is a "1-2-3 Recipe", so 1 image, 2 papers and 3 embellishments. We're looking forward to seeing all your makes. We're being sponsored by ArtbyMiran who gave the DT images to work with.

I've opted not to use a sponsor image this time as I need to get ahead with some Christmas makes! Topper is a pre-coloured one from Wild Rose Studio. Papers are from Tilda. Dies are all Spellbinders and punch is from Martha Stewart. Sentiment from LOTV. My three embellishments...ribbon, nail heads and gems (on the sentiment) are all from my stash.

I've chosen not to use an image from the sponsor this time, this cute little chap is from Wild Rose Studio and I've coloured with promarkers. Backing paper is from Raspberry Road and was a magazine freebie. All dies apart from the sentiment are from Spellbinders. The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn. Pearls from my stash.

Hello ATC

Good morning all.

Well my little girl is 17 today, I really don't know where the years have gone. We're taking her for a driving taster session this afternoon at a local racetrack which has been organised to raise money for Children in Need.

Several loads of washing to get through today then I'm off down home for my sister's hen party! Should be a good night but I will have to watch what I drink as I want back here by lunchtime on Sunday and wouldn't want to risk being breathalysed on the way home.

Something a "little" different to share today, an ATC.

Both the base and the topper have been covered in some adhesive fabric which gives a lovely feel to the piece. Base and topper were painted Fresco Finish Chalk Acrylics. Once dry the topper was stamped with JM05 from JOFY stamps and painted with the Eggplant acrylic. The base was stencilled with a dots stencil from Memory Box using Eggplant then stamped with JM37 from JOFY stamps. The sentiment is from Wild Rose Studio and pearl is from my stash. The topper was attached with foam tape.

Crafting for all Seasons #90 "Birthdays"

Good morning all and a big welcome to all my new followers....I hope you enjoy your time here.

Urghhhh computers who'd have them....can't live with them, can't live without them!! I managed to install about 7 unwanted programs last night when an Adobe Flash update presented itself on my screen...I realised instantly something was wrong but it must have taken the best part of an hour to uninstall everything again!!

Today it's time for our next challenge at CFAS and this time the theme is "Birthdays". We're  looking forward to seeing all your makes. Our sponsor this time is Limited Runs who gave the DT images to work with. A slightly "more is more" card from me today after all the CAS ones of late. This is for Lora whose birthday is next month.

I've used Birthday Puppy coloured with promarkers. Papers are from Wild Rose Studio's Bella pack.  Background is made with a Martha Stewart punch a round the page set. Oval dies are from Spellbinders; fence die from Magnolia; star die is a Signature die from Joanna Sheen; sentiment was a recent magazine freebie. Ribbon, charm and gemstone from my stash.

I must admit he doesn't look a very happy chap considering it's his birthday or perhaps it's just the daft hat he's been made to wear causing the hangdog look!!

New Home

Good morning all.

Managed to get all my aquatints labelled and  swatches made yesterday and found a home for them, now I need to sort out all the new stamps and stencils...I've got little piles of stuff all over the place at the moment which doesn't have a proper home and keeps getting shifted from pillar to post as I'm working!!

Yesterday was a good news day, my unmarried sister rang to say she was officially engaged and the wedding will hopefully be in the next few weeks. She doesn't want any fuss so they're going away on their own to get married, possibly to York.

I needed a new home card for my nephew and his wife and finally got around to making it on Wednesday.

Stamp was a magazine freebie coloured with promarkers. Sentiment and flowers stamps I think are from Wild Rose Studio. Die from Spellbinders. Apologies for the photo...the background of the card is white, not pink as showing above.
