Christmas Challenges (with sketches) #23

 It's time for our next challenge over at CCWS and we hope you're playing along with us this year and stocking up on those Christmas cards and projects. Nicole has designed the sketch this time and we have an added twist of White on White. We are being sponsored by Hein Design.

The digi image (which was left over from a previous card) is from Whoopsi Daisy and I've coloured with promarkers, fussy cut and mounted 3D to a deckled edge rectangle nestie. Vellum from Papermania, embossing folder from Cuttlebug, tag and sentiment die from Spellbinders. Ribbons, lace and pearls from my stash. Small snowflakes are punch waste and large snowflakes are from a Fiskars punch. Card is finished with some stickles. All card and paper came from my bit box for this card. 

I have to say I found the sketch a little daunting this time but once I'd got it under control I'm very pleased with how my card turned out :)

Top Tip - use an emery board to sand the top off your embossing to reveal the inner core of your card.

Christmas Card Club

It was Hazel's turn to challenge us this time and she asked us to either recycle or use a freebie. I've opted to use a freebie Christmas kit on this card, the backing paper and decoupage topper all came free with a magazine - at least two years ago!

The BP and red mirri card have been punched with a Martha Stewart punch. Card is finished with a sentiment topper, some gold stickles, some faux stitching, a ribbon and a charm.

Time for Cocktails

Didn't think I had any digi stamps suitable but whilst looking for something else I came across this image and text and knew they were just perfect for the LIM challenge.

Image and text digis both from Bugaboo, coloured with promarkers and highlighted with stickles.

Now I'll be having a cold shower every morning and doing bust exercises twice a day - no way do I want to go that far south any time soon lol

Crafting When We Can #4 Christmas comes early

Well it's just over two months until the big day so over at CWWC we'd like to see your Christmas projects this time. We're being sponsored by Tickled Pink Stamps and the DT were given images to use. I chose Xmas Kitty:

I've made a hanging ornament for a special little girl's first Christmas. Image is coloured with promarkers and cut out with a circle nestie and matted on to two scalloped circles. The pink circle has been stamped with snowflakes and embossed with white EP (although it doesn't really show in the photo). Project is finished with pink ribbon for hanging, a bow tied with gorgeous blue snowflake ribbon, a snowflake button and some stickles.

Less is More - anything goes

Had a trip up to Hobbycraft today to pick up some Halloween bits and bobs, of course a few other bits dropped into the basket whilst I was walking round so I've been having a play tonight.

A pack of two Sissix embossing folders - first has been matted onto green card and highlighted with pearlescent chalks, second embossed straight to card base and stickles added (although I've been a tad heavy handed on the tree!). Both cards finished with ribbon and a snowflake button.

The stamps on these three were in a set of freebies off a magazine last week. All stamped direct to card and coloured with promarkers. First and last finished off with a piece of raffia saved from a bouquet of flowers (since I'm honest - last one is covering up a horrendous piece of stamping!!).

Nothing square about me

Didn't think I'd see myself making a WOW card any time soon but I did (nearly!).

White circular scalloped card has been embossed with a scalloped nestie, nestie circle cut out of pearlised card and embossed with Swiss dots folder, Marianne Design mat cut out of pearlised card then layered up a poinsettia digi from Beccy's Place. Card is finished with some stickles, a stamped sentiment, a bow and a white pearl.

Girly Christmas

Using one of Inger Harding's fabulous free digital images coloured with promarkers and a digital backing paper from Stitchy Bears "baby it's cold outside" collection matted and layered onto red and green card stock. I've used stickles for the hat bobble and highlighted the icicles with a sakura glaze pen to give some glitter and sparkle to the scene. Card is finished with a peel off sentiment and a tartan bow.
