Christmas Card Club - "Upcycle"

Good morning all.
The wedding production line is now in full flow, hopefully everything will be cut by the end of today for the daytime invites and I can start putting them together tomorrow. Only need three dozen daytime invites which isn't too onerous but they are quite intricate. The 100 evening invites will take a bit more doing though!!

It's time for our next challenge over at the Christmas Card Club, it was Maureen's turn to choose the theme this time and she's asked us to "Upcycle".  Here is my card:

Topper has been made with the front of a gift tag, paper is from My Mind's Eye. Snowflake has been cut from some waste kraft card and the back of the gift tag. Bow is made from the ribbon off the gift tag. Dies are all Spellbinders.

You'll find the rest of the girls listed on my sidebar if you'd like to pop over and see their creations.

Crafting when we Can #24 CASE It

It's time for a new challenge at CWWC and this time we'd like you to CASE It - so CASE any of the DT projects, for example using the layout, colours or theme for your inspiration. Please tell us in your post which DT you're casing and what your inspiration is. We're being sponsored by The Stamping Boutique.

I've used a Caroling Snowmen image from The Stamping Boutique and coloured with promarkers and highlighted with a gelly roll pen then die cut with a circle nestie and mounted onto a scalloped nestie. Backing papers is from My Minds Eye, lamp die is from Marianne Design, bow from my stash. I'm loving these papers from My Mind's Eye this year and the colours are becoming a firm favourite for Christmas.

Christmas Card Club - apertures

Well I think summer has popped by to say hello today, it's still a tad chilly but it's gloriously sunny. We've spent the afternoon walking the dog around one of the local country parks which was like a quagmire after all the rain we've had!
Another fortnight has been and gone and it was Zoe's turn to choose the theme for the challenge at the Christmas Card Club and she wants to see an aperture. Now I'm not really an aperture sort of person so I've cut mine out of a scalloped circle to create a frame for my image.

The image is from an old Kanban set and is bordered with a purple foil which I didn't want to see. I lined up the two largest scalloped circles and cut a frame which fitted perfectly. The backing paper is from My Mind's Eye and was a magazine freebie. Card is simply finished with some binders twine and a sentiment.
If you'd like to see the cards the other girls have made you'll find the list on my side bar.

Challenges entered:
52 Card Throwdown - nativity scene
CHNC - touch of the blues
Oh La La Creations - ribbon or twine
Christmas Crafting - twas the night before Christmas
Christmas Cards all year Round - Christmas song or Carol (We Three Kings)
Christmas Card Challenges - sketch (which I haven't followed)
