Whoopsi Daisy - Girly

Good morning all.

I'm off for a spa day with my sisters and sister in law today, looking forward to a  Full Body Exfoliation and a Hot Stone Massage along with a good catch up and some relaxation...bliss!

It's time for another challenge at  Whoopsi Daisy  and this week the theme is "Make it Girly" or you can do Anything Goes if you use a Whoopsi Daisy image on your project. 

I've used an image from the Daisy & Friends at Christmas to make a birthday card. Dies are from Spellbinders. I printed the image several times and decoupaged it. Card is finished with a sentiment and some gems from my stash.

Whoopsi Daisy - make your own embellishments

Good morning all, I hope this rain rains itself out this week before my holidays start! I can't believe I reached 300 followers over the weekend, a big welcome to Sue hope you enjoy your visits here. 

I've got some great news this morning, Linnie has asked me to stay on at Whoopsi Daisy and I'm now a fully fledged Daisy Diva :)

 It's time for another challenge at  Whoopsi Daisy  and this week it's team A's turn to share their inspiration with you. The theme this week is to make your own embellishments,

Using a pre-coloured image from the Daisy and Friends CD, die cut and mounted onto two scalloped mats. Backing paper is from a Melissa Frances pad and I've layered up the pennants to add some dimension. Border punch from Martha Stewart. Doily, ribbons, pearls, buttons, sentiment and flowers from my stash. I've made my own flower using a felt shape, crocheted flower and a button and also made an mulit layered  bow on my mini bowdabra.

Whoopsi Daisy - Sande's Sketch

I'm delighted to have been asked by Linnie to be a GDT at Whoopsi Daisy for six months. I love Linnie's images and I'm looking forward to sharing them with you.

This week's challenge is a sketch by Sande, I've used a digi image from Daisy and Friends CD which I had ready printed on my desk.

Image has been die cut with a Spellbinders nestie and layered onto a larger nestie. Backing paper also from the CD and it has been distressed with a tool then Shabby Shutters DI. White mat and green strip are both Martha Stewart punches. Butterfly die from Marianne Design. Sentiment is from Wild Rose Studio and mounted onto a Spellbinders die. Flowers and pearls from my stash.

Celebrate

Had a busy day yesterday and wasn't the weather gorgeous! Managed to find carpets for the stairs, daughter's bedroom and our bedroom at the local carpet shop then we went down to Berwick and found the perfect material for roman blinds for our room - just need some bathroom tiles and our room will be sorted! Lounge carpet and blinds are proving a little more difficult but there's no hurry at the moment so we'll just keep looking.

Managed to do a bit of crafting last night and finished a competition card I'd started on Sunday, got a DT card out of the way then made this one just because!

The image is from Joanna Sheen's Daisy and Friends CD. Papers and sentiment are all from a HOTP book which was a very early "must have" crafting purchase from QVC many moons ago......to be fair I'm slowly getting through it lol. The border die is from Marianne Design and is having it's first airing although I've just realised it's actually meant for threading ribbon through....doh! The ribbon is recycled and the organza flower has been in my stash for some time. Card is finished with some gems and pearls.

Card is finished with ribbon, pearls, gems red metallic thread from my stash.

Inside has been decorated to match.

Christmas Card Club - more than one fold

Crikey another two weeks have passed and it's time again for us Christmas Clubbers to show our wares. Lizzie picked the theme this time and she wants to see more than one fold, this is my creation.

The base card is an A5 trifold card. The pre-coloured digital image and backing papers are from Joanna Sheen's Daisy and friends CD and the image has been layered up four times. Dies are from Spellbinders. Border punch from Martha Stewart. Bows are made with the mini bowdabra using ribbons from my stash. Red lace is from Costco. White stickles finishes off the fur trim and the snowflakes.

No not me my card!!

I made this one just because I wanted to!

Border punch is from Martha Stewart, corner dies and swirls from Marianne Design and scalloped mat from Spellbinders. Ribbon, button, flower and pearls are from my stash. Bow has been tied on my new mini bowdabra.

I've really enjoyed making  a card just because I wanted to for a change - must do it more often!
