Good morning all.
Yesterday I tackled the ironing mountain...almost needed the crampons to get to the top lol! I've started the holiday piles, hidden in eldest's room so hubby can't wear all his shirts between now and next Thursday!!

A very simple one layer Christmas card to share today.
The ARTplorations Christmas tree stencil is from STAMPlorations, inked with various distress inks then embossed....the old fashioned way with an embossing tool and a glass door! Sentiment is from Papermania....if I made the card again I'd re-position the sentiment without the holly I think.
Challenges entered:
Less is More - stencils
One Layer Christmas Card - opt twist green
Rudolph Day - anything goes
AAA - paste and/or stencil
CAS on Sunday - one layer
Love this,just gorgeous.xxx

this looks great to me - you're a brave lady with the ironing - I just buy things that don't need ironing lol!!!! Hugs rachel x
ReplyDeleteIroning, what is that? ahahaha
ReplyDeleteI so enjoy DH being retired. I used to iron him two shirts and dress pants for each working day. He would always have a spare set if he got called to a meeting or as luck would have it, spilled down his shirt! I loved the days that he said, he had extras still and only iron one set!
Now, he rarely wears dress pants so I can just do a quick lick and a spit on the creases of his golf slacks! Lucky me!
Your card is lovely. That is a great stencil and the colour of the tree is great. Sort of shimmery looking!
Thanks for taking part in the June Rudolph DAys Challenge.
A fabulous card Carol, great design.
ReplyDeleteI'm sitting here looking at my pile of ironing, I might need to borrow your crampons - I suppose I'll have to do it eventually!

Hi Carol, I am so envious that you have managed your mountain, mine just keeps growing. Hubby broke my iron this week so I couldn't do it, boo, yaah!
ReplyDeleteShame he's now bought me a new one.
Got quite a few card orders to do first of course, anything to get out of it!
A super card today, I love your tree stencil and the shades of green, a perfectly modern and CAS Christmas card, just how I like them.
Hugs Erika.
Gorgeous card Carol. I love the tree and fabulous CAS design.

I sometimes think the simple designs are the best. I like the wonky tree and the sentiment looks just fine with or without the holly. Kate x
ReplyDeleteFabulously simple!

I love that stylized Christmas tree and how you have designed this card, Carol! I'm glad you didn't fall on your way up Ironing Mountain! We don't have those much around here. All perma-press clothes in this country! We might do a lot of things wrong, but we got that one right!! Happy Rudolph Day! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteLove that stencil and what you did with it

Loving that Christmas tree stencil, so simple yet fluid. And ironing, yuk! Know that mountain climb feeling. Thanks for playing at AAA Cards.
ReplyDeleteLove this CAS Christmas card Carol. The embossing adds lots of dimension. Glad you got a good handle on your ironing ... what an awful task that it. I currently don't own an iron :) ... so no ironing for me. :) xx
ReplyDeleteLove it! Another stencil I need! It's brilliant and great for batch making whatever way it's used xx
ReplyDeleteLove this modern look on the traditional tree. The color of green you selected to enhance the embossing really fits so nicely with the design too. Been a long time since I did embossing this way - but it sure works still, doesn't it? Hugs & hope you can get rested up from all that awful ironing! Have a great wkend, TFS
ReplyDeleteA gorgeous card, the tree is so elegant. I think you're right about the holly, the card is so CAS it simply doesn't need it
ReplyDeletelovely tree that I first thought was 3-d paste, but brought back memories that you did the window way! xxx
ReplyDeleteGreat one layer card, and I love that you used the old fashioned method, I still have my lightbox, it may come out again at some point!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing with us.
