Christmas Card Club "Traditional Colours"

Good morning all.

It's been nice to see some sunshine this week but my goodness we did have the mother of all thunder and lightning storms the other day! Still busy trying to unpack and find homes for things plus getting the old house ready to put on the market so no rest for the wicked here.

We've been treated to our own personal airshow this weekend...we lie on a flight path and all the displays going to the local airshow flew over us at some point including the Red Arrows. Sadly neither the camera or phone were to hand at the time! Hubby has also seen a young badger in the garden, something I'd love to see.

Another two weeks have flown by and it's Christmas Card Club time again...this week Christine has asked to see "Traditional Colours". To me this means red, white and green with a little hint of gold....and I've made four of them!!

Die from Lil Inkers, simply matted and layered, ribbon/tinsel from my stash. Finished with a little gold stickles to the snowflakes.

I got to put my Christmas present through it's paces for these cards...hubby bought me a Spellbinder Platinum and it only came out of it's box last weekend! Loving it so far, though I must buy the bigger plates. My die was a present to myself after the kids ignored it on my Christmas list!!

If you'd like to see what the other girls have produced you'll find the list in my sidebar.

  7. Love this set of pretty cards, and wow, that die would make assembly line stamping very easy to do I should think. You've presented it perfectly in the traditional colors - allowing the die shape to shine on neutral background, with the narrow colors of the mats. Good luck with the settling in and staging the old house to sell. You've got a big chore to finish up. TFS & Happy Sunday. (will be interested in how you like the new die cutting machine too).

  11. I rather like the look of this die cut. It makes a really classic card and how different it looks in the two colours. We have been having a lot of show planes flying over this past week too. Lots of clouds today so they were mostly hidden from view but we certainly heard the bombers going over. Hugs Mrs A.

  18. Hi Carol, good to hear you are plodding on with the unpacking, you'll get there!
Fancy being on the red arrows flight path, that's a bit of a treat for you. They're always good to watch.

I love all your cards, I have to say the die is lovely and I can totally see why you had to treat yourself when no one took the subtle hints at Christmas. Don't you just hate that!

Hope you are getting sometime in the sunshine too?

    Hugs Erika. x
