Christmas Card Club "2 or more patterned papers"

Good morning all.

Yesterday was spent sanding paint work in my new craft room, this morning I ache in places I didn't know existed!! I think we're ready to decorate it now though, just need to wash it down today to get rid of the dust. This is how it looks at the moment:

....and this is the view from the  window, there was actually a deer standing on the grassy patch in the distance when I took this yesterday.

Today it's time for another Christmas Card Club outing and this week GranMargaret asked for "2 or more patterned papers". I've cheated slightly and counted my decoupage as one of the papers, hope no one minds!

Please excuse the photo...my camera developed a fault when we were away so I had to use my phone for this! Decoupage from Joanna Sheen; dies from Spellbinders and Wplus9. Sentiment from Clearly Besotted.

Candy winners...your prizes will hopefully be posted on Tuesday when I get up to the High Street again, sorry for the delay.

Loved your card, and the decoupage is paper, so of course it works great! It's a very pretty & vintage charming card. Don't work too hard on your workspace..you don't want to be so tired you can't enjoy it once you get in it!! TFS & Hugs

  13. Your new craft room looks wonderful! So much room and really great light! The view is superb.
Sadly we are overlooked...sigh. When we were much younger we lived in the Kootnay's. We were right at the base of the Rockies... My front garden faced the mountains and my back garden edged up against 200 miles of forest that led to the Kananaskis Valley. Your photos today made me homesick for that!

Great card, Carol.I think the DP on your decoupage is fair game for counting! Those Joanna Sheen decoupage images are fab and yours is no exception. We do not see those in my neck of the woods...just the odd stamp...no kits yet.

Next trip to the UK I need to stock up!

  18. Thanks for coming by to visit, Carol! It's great to see you again! I'm glad the new house is coming along and what a fine craft room you are going to have! And that view is wowza! I scrolled back a bit to see if you mentioned your health cuz I remembered you had a scare while you were away. I'm glad to hear that perhaps you didn't have a TIA after all. As someone who suffers from migraines, I literally can feel your pain with those.

I wish you all the best with the tradesmen and getting things done. Are you still in the Dunbar area? I ask because I'm coming over to the UK in July and I'd love to meet you, but I'm only going as far north as Manchester (Knutsford) so I think you are too far away. (Sad face.) No worries about lack of visits. I know you have your hands full!! Great card, by the way! Lots of hugs, Darnell

  20. A lovely nostalgic card of Christmas past. Your craft room is looking good. I'm confined to mine at the moment as the builders are here replacing the velux window in the bathroom prior to the bathroom refursbishment. We have scaffolding up in the garden so they can reach the roof so access to the garden is denied. What's a girl to do!! Catching up on everyone's blogs that's what. Hugs Mrs A.

  21. When you've got such an important job on, decorating your craft room cheating is perfectly acceptable.
It seems ages since I've visited, sorry, hope you are all back to normal after your fantastic trip of a lifetime?

A perfect traditional Christmas card, can't wait for updates on the craft room.

    Hugs Erika. x
