Good morning all.
Sorry for being such a bad blogger of late....I spent two days down at home last week helping sort my Mum's house out. As she has moved in with my sister she has decided it's time to clear the house and sell it...quite difficult and emotional for us all but it needs done. I've been gathering up all the photos, paperwork and boxes full of bits we didn't know about and have unearthed some fabulous pieces of our heritage...I'll share these later this week.
For today I'm sharing a card made for a nephew who has a birthday this week....I finally made it into the craft room yesterday after my backed eased up somewhat.
I've gone CAS this year...done all the football and other sports to death so decided to use my favourite Happy die (from Whimsy Stamps) in his teams colours. Stamps are also from Whimsy and sequins from my stash. Square dies from Spellbinders. Hope he likes it!
Challenges entered:
Allsorts - no design paper
Suzy Bee's Bloomin' Challenge - anything goes/twist something beginning with S (sequin, star, sentiment)
Sweet Stampin' - use script or text
Addicted to CAS - sparkle
That's Crafty - boys will be boys

Perfect male card. So versatile to do in team colours. We had to clear to my parents home when they both went into a home. I have boxes of mementos still not gone through 3 yrs later. Hugs mrs A.
ReplyDeleteA fab CAS male card design Carol, glad to hear your back is somewhat better too.

Carol I love this style of birthday card that you create, the touch of colour and the great sentiment, just perfect and right up my street.
ReplyDeleteAs for clearing houses, it's lovely to find things you knew nothing about but it is just the getting started. We really need to clear the boys rooms and loft but it is just the thought of it!
I hope your Mum is ok with the move?
Hugs Erika. x

ReplyDeleteGreat card thank you for joining us this week at Sweet Stampin'. debbie X
ReplyDeleteLove the CAS blue look for this young man's card. And that bold die looks splendid as the sentiment. The stripes of the star with the sequin center adds a bit of bling that is just right for a fella, and the placement of the other sequins is perfect. It is never easy going through memories when life is changing...but so glad you are there to help your Mom, and find some wonderful family history too. TFS & Hugs

ReplyDeleteAs I'm catching up I really hope the back pain has gone or at least started to go. Sadly it's something I have a lot of experience of and it's horrible and that's putting it politely, very rarely am I so polite about my back issues. I love this card - so perfectly CAS and I think a male would adore it too Karen x
