Hi and a belated Happy Easter to you all, hope you're having a good weekend. Had a busy few days out choosing wall tiles, towels and bedlinen for our bedroom and en-suite which hopefully will be decorated next weekend! Yesterday we went out visiting, so today was spent at home cooking a roast turkey dinner. How come I spent six hours slaving over a hot stove and the meal disappeared in about six minutes flat!!
Managed to sneak in a Christmas card for the Christmas Card Club gang between turkey bastings! It was Margaret's turn to pick the theme this fortnight and she's asked for black and white.
Image is a La Blanche stamp which I've inked for the first time with black soot DI then embossed with holographic EP (although I don't think you can see the glittery effect in the photo). Black mat is made with a Martha Stewart PATP. Border die and scrolled die which the sentiment is on are from Spellbinders. Sentiment from LOTV. Ribbons and pearls from my stash.
Apart from the large black mat all the cardstock came from my bit box and the ribbons were recycled so I'm off to the playground to see Di and the girls............may even take some Easter choccie to share!!
Challenges entered:
Paper Pretties - monochromatic
Simon says Stamp - use favourite tool (Grand Caliber/Wizard)
Willow Sketchie - lots of layers
Christmas Stampin all year - favourite colour combo
Our Craft Lounge - run for the border
Sweet Stampin - dies and/or doodles
The Squirrel and the Fox - things with wings
Pretty Little Ribbon - to die for
Bling it on - monochrome
Pixie Crafty Snippets - #15

ReplyDeleteWatch the playground, there's a lot of chocolate smeared on the ropes of the swings for starters - been busy in there!! Oh boy, Did you hop over and see Mrs A's carrot card she left late on Saturday? She's daft as a brush!!
Laughed about the meal - I did a full turkey roast too, hours of work and same thing, gone in minutes!!

ReplyDeleteWhen we had five teens they were like garbage disposals, whiz bang food was gone and they were ready for more. They don't eat as fast as they did back then and not quite as much but the grandkids have taken over and the food is still gone in record time.
Hugs
