Christmas Card Club "Village Scene"

Good morning all and welcome to my new followers.

Another two weeks have flashed by and it's time once again for our little Christmas Card Club reveal. Rita picked the theme this time and asked to see a "Village Scene".

I opened the Christmas drawer to check out my dies and this embossing folder was sitting looking very neglected so I decided to put it to good use. The folder is from Sissix and came in a pack of two. I added some Sparkle Medium into the recesses of the folder then embossed direct to my card base. Sentiment from Clearly Besotted and gems from my stash. Insert added "et voila" one very quick card! Apologies for the pink glow..a quirk of the camera!

You'll find links for the other girls on my sidebar if you want to pop over and see their makes.

Challenges entered:
CHNC Extra - anything Christmas goes
Just us Girls - embossing
Less is More - one layer + water (snow being frozen water!)
Winter Wonderland - oh Christmas tree
Holly Jolly Christmas - white + one

  15. Aren't you clever to see the possibilities of the EF's to create the theme! I have to confess, I hunted for a while for something to fit it. Love the simplicity of this design, and you added such dash with the sparkle. Loved the way you got the sentiment added in, to add more verve to this cute card. Well done for detail & great imaginative design. I love it! TFS & Hugs

  18. That's a really beautiful card Carol - it would be great to make a batch of them, why do I have all these ideas after the challenge/theme lol?! Thank goodness for Sparkle Medium - it's so much better than the loose stuff Karen x

  20. So sorry I'm late in commenting. My Internet problems are consuming my life at the moment. To cap it all my iPad crashed this morning and took my IT specialist a talk through on the phone to get it working again. It's enough to drive you to drink. In fact sitting in the garden right now with a Pinot Grigio Blush. Very nice it is too. Anyway I digress. Your six folder is a fab find and just right for this challenge. P.. Everything looks pink at the moment ! Hugs Mrs A.

  27. So very sweet. What a great take on the theme. I still have not made mine...we are now up at the lake and the boxes of craft supplies had to be pared down at the last moment as the truck was already full. In the rush to downsize my stash, I forgot about my CCC... Drat.,
