Hello

Good morning all.

Still full of the cold here, although not feeling so yuk as I was on Tuesday, in fact from the neck down I'm fine! Sending hugs to those more in need of them than me.

Managed a quick card last night...well when I say quick it took all evening. I knew before I started what I was going to use, it seemed such a simple idea...SO why did it take several attempts to execute?? I don't even think I like the result!! I'm blaming the fuggy head!

Excuse the awful colours...I did get a light box off eldest for Christmas but haven't got around to working out how to use it, or finding somewhere to put it! Base card is a lovely plum colour. Stamps are from Stamplorations, all recent purchases and stamped for the first time with elderberry Memento ink. Shading has been done with milled lavender DI. Hello die is another new acquisition from Memory Box and I've cut it from the base first then inlaid a plain white one and layered up with the original one on top. A couple of gems finish things off.

Challenges entered:

  3. I think it's gorgeous Carol and I can see why it took so long - you have used lots of fab techniques. I will be interested to hear how you get on with your light box when you get it set up - have been thinking of adding one to my birthday list.

  14. Very lovely. I love the colors you used. Let me tell you how to make a cheap light box. I use two pieces of white tag board. I folded them in half and when I take pics I leave the front and top open. Then I place one piece on the bottom and left side. The other piece goes on the back and right side. I have a light shining over the top . It gets frustrating at times when the sides move but I could tape it but then it would not collapse for easy storage. It will do you until you get a light box and probably cost you two dollars!! Let me know if you have questions or need a pic!!

  15. I think you are too hard on your pretty spotlight card, Carol! The colors are fabulous and you've managed the techniques so well! I still haven't tried the popped up camel flogged word and I can't wait to get to it. I love how it looks! Thank you so much for playing in my NBUS Challenge #3!! Hugs, Darnell
