Christmas Card Club - "Christmas Flowers"

Good morning all.
Hopefully Blogger is behaving as this is a scheduled post...I'm spending a few days with my Mum with limited internet.

I set the girls the theme of "Christmas Flowers" over at the Christmas Card Club this time. Poinsettias have to be my all time favourite Christmas flowers although I usually manage to kill them off pretty easily!

This one uses dies from Lil'Inker Designs for the background and Marianne Designs for the poinsettia. Finished with some twine and gold stickles.

This second card uses a stamp from Imagination Crafts, stamped and heat embossed with gold EP then die cut and mounted onto a gold mat. Some vellum from my stash to finish it off.

If you'd like to see what the other girls have made you'll find their links on my sidebar.

I'll be back later with some a mixed media project for our monthly challenge at STAMPlorations.

  7. Thanks for a fun challenge, and I manage to do about the same with Poinsettias. Felt myself developing a green thumb when I managed to keep one for about a year. Alas, it came to the same sad end as all the previous plants! Love both of these cards, and that is a WOW Lil Inker background die. Looks so pretty with the white & red, and the lovely dimension of the poinsettia embellie. The rich & elegant gold is just absolutely stunning...Enjoy your visit with your Mom. TFS & Hugs

  8. Two beautiful cards, CArol. The first has a lovely modern feel. The word die is so on trend right now and looks wonderful on your card.
The second one is so elegant and beautiful!

I like poinsettias in shops and in other peoples houses...and on cards. In my house they start dropping their leaves within minutes of arrival!!!
