Good morning all.
We had a lovely autumnal day yesterday, very cold but dry and sunny.
Decided to carry on making Christmas cards yesterday afternoon and got another couple sorted.
This one uses a House Mouse decoupaged image from Joanna Sheen. I've very simply matted and layered the image, using an embossing folder which came free in a magazine and some twine to embellish it. I must say the Christmas magazine freebies are mostly well worth having this year!
Challenges entered:
Joanna Sheen - food for thought
Flat Friends Challenge - Christmas Card
Christmas Card Challenges - dimension
Great Impressions - holiday card
The Squirrel and the Fox - animal antics
A Gem of a Challenge - Christmas is coming
Allsorts - Christmas cheer
Pumpkin Spice - something sweet
Inky Impressions - traditional Christmas
Jingle Belles - not a creature was stirring
CHNC Extra - anything goes

This card is so adorable. The mice are so darned cute!
ReplyDeleteI am always so amazed by the freebies in your magazines...I bought loads of magazines when I was in Englnad...I rifled through the stacks of choices and picked them by the bet prizes...lol
Thanks for sharing about your own memory problems too. For me, most people may not notice on a social occasion. I am sure that some of my friends rack it up to aging...but if they take a course with me or watch me learn something new, they would see it.
When our friends come for 4 or 5 days up at the lake, they usually say...Ohhhhhh...now I see what you mean ...and then pitch in and help...they still come back year oafter year...so they must not mind!!!
I try to save st least 50 % off everything I buy at Black Friday...so I do need a book to track it all. Heck, my daughter who is mid thirties makes the master list!
Gorgeous card Carol and what great freebies the embossed folder is stunning x

So darn cute the pair of them. They need no other embellishment on the card with them. I am a great one for using freebies when and wherever I can which leaves the spare cash for those must have at all cost items that we all love to buy. Thank you for joining in at crafty Hazelnuts extra this month. hugs Mrs A. (GDT).
ReplyDeleteMy favorite mice! This is a lovely creation! Thank you for sharing with us here at The Squirrel and The Fox. Your card is so perfect for the animal antic challenge.
