Crafting for all Seasons #78 Boys will be Boys
Good morning all.
Had a lovely restful week last week in Menorca, lots of sunshine, nice hotel and lovely food...just what the Dr ordered! All washing and ironing has been done, just need to give the house a good cleaning now.
I have been limiting my time online since I got home but I'll be round to see you all shortly.
Today it's time for our next challenge at CFAS and this time the theme is "Boys will be Boys". We're looking forward to seeing all your makes. Our sponsor this time Kenny K Downloads who gave the DT images to work with.
I've used Remote Control Digi and coloured with promarkers before die cutting with a square nestie and layering onto a fancy square die, all from Spellbinders. Paper is from Echo Park. Sentiment from Imagination and binders twine from my stash.
I have to admit to making a right pigs ear of this card at the final hurdle....I made a complete mess of stamping the sentiment onto the topper, then I forgot to tie my binders twine around the backing paper before sticking it down!!! Grrrr, simply didn't have time to redo the card so had to do a hasty fixit job :(

Crafting for all Seasons #77 "Things with Wings"
Good morning all.
Still recovering from a brilliant weekend celebrating my sister's 50th birthday. We started with a day at the races last Wednesday, followed by afternoon tea on Thursday then two nights of music at the pub she runs on Friday and Saturday. I slunk off home after lunch on Sunday and left them to a third night of music...just can't take the pace any more!!
Off to Edinburgh today to get hubby kitted out for our holidays at the weekend and buy new suitcases - I'd forgotten we'd thrown ours out after Venice as the wheels had broken.

Christmas Card Club - " Black and White plus one"
Good morning all.
It's been a busy weekend here...lots of washing and ironing, shopping and a bit of card making. We've finally managed to book a holiday and are off to Menorca in less than two weeks. Next weekend we're spending down at home as my sister is having a 50th birthday weekend so I had to start organising all the clothes this weekend to get ahead of myself! I've still got her card to make too and another five before we go away...need to shake a leg then...luckily hubby's was made earlier thank goodness.
I missed the Christmas Card Club challenge last Sunday which had been set by Karen, she chose "Black and White plus one" for her theme. Here is my card.
Sorry about the photos, they really don't do the card justice. The Heartfelt Creation stamp was a recent sale purchase and I've stamped in black and heat embossed with black magic EP which is really glittery IRL. I used the waste from a Spellbinder die as a mask to colour the Christmas tree shape with DI and added a clear gem to the top. Image is layered onto green card...which doesn't show very well.
Inside complete and another very flat card for posting.
You'll find a list of the girls on my sidebar if you'd like to pop over and see their creations.

Christmas Card Club - "Poinsettia"
Good afternoon all.
Hope you're all enjoying your Bank Holiday weekend, whatever you're up to.
Our next challenge over at the Christmas Card Club is now due. It's Karen's turn to choose this time and she set the theme "Poinsettias".
I bought a tonic die in the sales earlier this year and this poinsettia has been sitting on my desk for several weeks now waiting to be used. I've teamed it up with one of the new Die'sire templates then managed to layer it up very wonkily!! I've added stickles but it doesn't show very well.
I have added a blank insert but I may take the whole card apart and redo it!!
You'll find the rest of the girls listed on my sidebar if you'd like to pop over and see their creations.

CHNC Extra - anything Christmas goes
Christmas Card Challenges - no embellishments
Sketchy Colours - red, white and green
