Crafting for all Seasons #79 "Don't be Square"

Good morning all.

Sorry I haven't been around, real life is getting in the way of blogging and crafting at the moment.

Hubby and I took an impromptu weekend over to the Lake District at the end of May/beg of June which was lovely, the weather was very kind to us too.  Hence the plethora of blog posts on the 31st...I'd forgotten I had them all sitting waiting to be finished and slotted between my DT stuff, so apologies for bombarding you all!!

Today it's time for our next challenge at CFAS and this time the theme is "Don't be Square". We're  looking forward to seeing all your makes. Our sponsor this time Stitchy Bears Digi Outlet who gave the DT images to work with.

I've chosen to use an image of my own this time...."Airborne" from KennyKdigistamps. I've printed onto kraft card and coloured with promarkers, before die cutting with a round Spellbinder die and making a rocker card. Cogs and wheels embossing folder is from Couture Creations; sentiment from LOTV; sentiment die from Spellbinder; stars die from Joanna Sheen; cogs and wheels stamp is a magazine freebie.
Both my sons have birthdays this week so this is for my eldest....not that he'd dream of wearing a helmet when skateboarding!!

Crafting for all Seasons #78 Boys will be Boys

Good morning all.
Had a lovely restful week last week in Menorca, lots of sunshine, nice hotel and lovely food...just what the Dr ordered! All washing and ironing has been done, just need to give the house a good cleaning now.
I have been limiting my time online since I got home but I'll be round to see you all shortly.

Today it's time for our next challenge at CFAS and this time the theme is "Boys will be Boys". We're  looking forward to seeing all your makes. Our sponsor this time Kenny K Downloads who gave the DT images to work with.

I've used Remote Control Digi and coloured with promarkers before die cutting with a square nestie and layering onto a fancy square die, all from Spellbinders. Paper is from Echo Park. Sentiment from Imagination and binders twine from my stash.
I have to admit to making a right pigs ear of this card at the final hurdle....I made a complete mess of stamping the sentiment onto the topper, then I forgot to tie my binders twine around the backing paper before sticking it down!!! Grrrr, simply didn't have time to redo the card so had to do a hasty fixit job :(

Christmas Card Club - "Recipe"

Good morning all.
Hope blogger is behaving and you're reading this on Sunday...hopefully I'm lying in the sun!

Our next challenge over at the Christmas Card Club is due today and this time it was Zoe's turn to choose  the theme and she has given us a recipe to use "3 brads, 1 button, ribbon and one other".

Image is a topper from Wild Rose Studios, frame is from Die'sire. Brads, button and ribbon are from my stash. My "one other" is stickles which I've used to highlight the image.

You'll find the rest of the girls listed on my sidebar if you'd like to pop over and see their creations.

Crafting for all Seasons #77 "Things with Wings"

Good morning all.
Still recovering from a brilliant weekend celebrating my sister's 50th birthday. We started with a day at the races last Wednesday, followed by afternoon tea on Thursday then two nights of music at the pub she runs on Friday and Saturday. I slunk off home after lunch on Sunday and left them to a third night of music...just can't take the pace any more!!
Off to Edinburgh today to get hubby kitted out for our holidays at the weekend and buy new suitcases - I'd forgotten we'd thrown ours out after Venice as the wheels had broken.

Today it's time for our next challenge at CFAS and this time the theme is "Things with Wings". We're  looking forward to seeing all your makes. As it's our third birthday we have two sponsors this time - Bugaboo and Lacy Sunshine who both gave the DT images to work with.

I've used  Penguin Joy from Bugaboo and coloured it with promarkers before adding some stickles and a few gemstones. Backing paper is from Papermania, ribbon from my stash.
Insert completed and another one flat for posting.

Christmas Card Club - " Black and White plus one"

Good morning all.
It's been a busy weekend here...lots of washing and ironing, shopping and a bit of card making. We've finally managed to book a holiday and are off to Menorca in less than two weeks. Next weekend we're spending down at home as my sister is having a 50th birthday weekend so I had to start organising all the clothes this weekend to get ahead of myself! I've still got her card to make too and another five before we go away...need to shake a leg then...luckily hubby's was made earlier thank goodness.

I missed the Christmas Card Club challenge last Sunday which had been set by Karen, she chose "Black and White plus one" for her theme. Here is my card.

Sorry about the photos, they really don't do the card justice. The Heartfelt Creation stamp was a recent sale purchase and I've stamped in black and heat embossed with black magic EP which is really glittery IRL. I used the waste from a Spellbinder die as a mask to colour the Christmas tree shape with DI and added a clear gem to the top. Image is layered onto green card...which doesn't show very well.

Inside complete and another very flat card for posting.

Christmas Card Club - "Poinsettia"

Good afternoon all.
Hope you're all enjoying your Bank Holiday weekend, whatever you're up to.

Our next challenge over at the Christmas Card Club is now due. It's Karen's turn to choose this time and she set the theme "Poinsettias".

I bought a tonic die in the sales earlier this year and this poinsettia has been sitting on my desk for several weeks now waiting to be used. I've teamed it up with one of the new Die'sire templates then managed to layer it up very wonkily!! I've added stickles but it doesn't show very well.

I have added a blank insert but I may take the whole card apart and redo it!!

You'll find the rest of the girls listed on my sidebar if you'd like to pop over and see their creations.

Challenges entered:
CHNC Extra - anything Christmas goes
Christmas Card Challenges - no embellishments

Crafting for all Seasons #76 "Lots of Layers"

Good morning all.
Own up...who pinched April!! I can't believe it's May tomorrow, this month has just disappeared! Thanks to those who've asked about me, I'm fine just a bit tired and run down after the virus and also really busy so me time has been on the back burner for a few weeks.

Today it's time for our next challenge at CFAS and this time the theme is "Lots of Layers". We're  looking forward to seeing all your makes. We're being sponsored by Stitchy Bear Digi Outlet who gave the DT images and papers to work with.

I've used the pre-coloured version of Baby Gangstaz Joel from Reeces Scrap Pieces and printed it several times so I could decoupage it. The backing paper is from Crafter's Companion's Camden Town and was on the disc which came free with the winter magazine. Dies are all from Spellbinders. Sentiment is computer generated and happy birthday is from my stash.
My Godson will be 13 in the summer so this will be perfect for him.

Christmas Card Club "Christmas Light"

Good morning all.

We've had a lovely spring week so far and it looks set to continue over the weekend too, it certainly lifts the spirits!

Our next challenge over at the Christmas Card Club was due on Sunday but I was up to my eyes in wedding invites and birthday cards so I'm running a little late here! It was Asha's turn to choose this time and she set the theme "Christmas Lights".

Stepper card is made with a Cheery Lynn Die, papers are from Papermania, candle die is from Memory Box ( a January sale purchase on it's first outing!) and sentiment from my stash.

Inside also completed and flat for posting!

You'll find the rest of the girls listed on my sidebar if you'd like to pop over and see their creations.

Crafting for all Seasons #75 "Ribbons and Lace"

Good morning all.

Wedding invites mark #3 have been put to bed and delivered, thank goodness..just some favour boxes to make now. It was Mum's birthday yesterday so my brother, sisters and I took her out locally for afternoon tea. I'm hoping life will resume some sort of normality for a while now!

It's time for our next challenge at CFAS and this time the theme is "Ribbons and Lace". We're  looking forward to seeing all your makes. We're being sponsored by Limited Runs who gave the DT images to work with.

I've used Stacked Snowman which I've printed several times, coloured with promarkers and layered up then die cut and matted with dies from Spellbinders. Embossing plate was a magazine freebie. The ribbon and lace has been in my stash since I was a teenager....way back in the dark days of flared trousers and the Bay City Rollers lol. The bow, gems and sentiment are from my stash. I've used glamour dust and stickles to add sparkle.

All finished inside too :)

Crafting for all Seasons #74 "Dies and Punches"

Good afternoon all.

Well I don't know what I did to deserve it but I came home from the funeral on Friday with a flu bug...I'm only just beginning to feel human again!

A little later than promised, here is my card for our current challenge at CFAS and this time the theme is "Dies and Punches". We're  looking forward to seeing all your makes. We're being sponsored by The Paper Shelter who gave the DT images to work with.

Last week my Aunt and Uncle were lucky enough to celebrate their Diamond Wedding Anniversary, this is the card I made them.

I've used Vintage Floral Frame, pre coloured  and decoupaged, which I bought recently with a GC I'd won. Backing paper is from the Vintage Flower for You paper pack which I also bought with my GC. Heart die is from Tattered Lace, butterfly from Marianne Designs, wording is computer generated and gems are from my stash.

Inside and showing all the layers.
